DAWN debuted in 2016 as part of the boy group PENTAGON, where he wrote hits like Shine, Critical Beauty, shaping the music he stood on from the very beginning. In 2019, DAWN made his solo debut with the single MONEY and continued his career with the EP DAWNDIDIDAWN where he started to share his personal stories. with the unit EP 1+1=1, a collaboration with HyunA, and the single Stupid Cool. DAWN reached his charting success with Dear My Light. It charted for 25 consecutive weeks. His EP Narcissus established him as a multifaceted and versatile artist. To see DAWN only as a recording artist is to see half of him. He is a creative in the fullest sense, and shapes the visual language and design of his own world.
