Mark Winkler

This track is from a recently discovered live performance Mark did in Toronto in 2012 when he was touring with Cheryl Bentyne in "West Coast Cool"-It's a Winkler penned lyric to the Neal Hefti classis "Lil' Darlin" that Winkler has named "West Coast Cool." He sings this with the wonderful Cheryl Bentyne of Manhattan Transfer. Winkler’s recordings consistently receive extensive airplay and critical acclaim. As a vocalist, Winkler eschews vocal pyrotechnics in favor of intimacy, delivering performances with a warm, unpretentious voice. Whether interpreting standards or his own wry compositions, he connects deeply with lyrics that resonate on a personal level.
