CHiLi GiRL

Shinobu Kawashima solo product " CHiLi GiRL " Spirited shamisen player and singer-songwriter shima’s new project, started June of 2020. As Kawashima Shinobu, prior to her enrollment at the Tokyo University of the Arts as a performer of traditional arts she earned first prize at the National Tsugaru Shamisen Tournament 4 times. In her project “CHiLi GiRL”, under the theme of “Spicy and Charming” she continues pushing the boundaries of the genres she delves into. With her characteristic wide-open approach to her musical career recently she produced the music for “One Person Play (Hitori Shibai)” starring Masaki Sata of Bad Boy’s fame, achieving critical acclaim as both the composer and performer for the play. スパイシーでチャーミングなシティ・ミュージックをテーマに、卓越した三味線プレーはテクニックとグルーヴ感を併せ持ち、艶やかでソウルフルな歌声でリスナーを魅了する Shinobu Kawashimaの次世代ポップ・プロジェクト「CHiLi GiRL(チリガール)」。 昨年 6 月にリリースした 1st Album MEBAE は日テレ「バズリズム 02」や雑誌「non-no」ヒャダイン連載コラムに取り上げられ注目を 浴び、12 月にリリースしたシングル Make You, Make Me は全国 8 局のラジオでパワープレイ、J-WAVE TOKIO HOT100 28 位に チャートインし、全国的に注目が高まるニューカマー。 <才能まきこみ型プロダクト>を掲げ 2020 年 6 月より始動。ピアニストの和久井沙良や、GOOD BYE APRIL のソングライター倉品翔、 デザイナーの亀井桃をはじめ、音楽・アート、様々な分野の 新進気鋭のクリエイター・アーティストとのセッションを行い果敢にジャンル領域の境界線を攻め続けている。 彼女が生み出すオリエンタルポップは国内外で注目を集めており、スペイン・ロシア・台湾(2023 年 SPRING WAVE に TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI として出演)など数々の海外公演に出演。
