Raised in Lagos, his earliest years were marked by discipline and devotion - he and his younger brother, Ju, became the youngest members of the All Saints Church choir in Yaba by ages six and four. At the core of his artistic identity is a genre he pioneered himself: Brutalist RnB — a stark, emotionally charged mutation of RnB that pairs haunting minimalism with architectural detail, raw honesty, and cinematic tension. Producing, writing, recording, and engineering the majority of his work, Uche builds multi-dimensional sonic worlds that feel visionary yet intimate.
