Luis Miguel Serrano

Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Brazilian artist Luis Miguel Serrano moved to New York City at the age of five with his father, Miguel Angel Serrano. Raised in Harlem, the South Bronx, and now residing in Washington Heights, Luis developed a deep appreciation for music, culture, and storytelling from an early age. During the summers, he spent countless hours at his grandfather Luis Diaz’s deli, where he was surrounded by the sounds, conversations, and rhythms of the community. Inspired by his father’s passion for music, Luis discovered a love for different genres, sounds, and musical traditions that would later shape his artistic vision. Today, Luis Miguel Serrano is a songwriter, singer, music producer, audio engineer, and sound designer who has built a growing Afrofusion and Afrobeats community. Known for blending infectious rhythms with authentic storytelling, his music reflects both his multicultural roots and his experiences growing up in New York City. Following the success of his breakthrough single, “Special Woman,” Luis continues to release Afrobeats gems that resonate with listeners around the world. Artist’s Own Words: “I graduated from SAE Institute NYC with a 4.0 GPA. My music is inspired by my life experiences in New York City. I was raised in Harlem and the Bronx, and my songs reflect my journey, my emotions, and the challenges I face in my everyday life.” #AfroLatino #Afrobeats #Afrofusion
