WoolseyBaby

WoolseyBaby is the dynamic hip-hop and rap moniker of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and audio engineer Andrew Paul Woolsey. Known for his relentless independent hustle and an entirely self-contained creative process, Woolsey controls every aspect of his sonic universe—handling his own songwriting, vocals, tracking, and mastering. His deep musical trajectory traces back to 2015 with his formative project Adolescent Currency, followed by years anchoring the grooves as the keyboardist for the Baton Rouge neo-soul/dream-pop outfit RiaRosa. This rich instrumental foundation laid the groundwork for his evolution into a prolific solo artist, blurring the lines between technical craftsmanship and raw lyricism. Operating under his own imprint, WoolseyAV, and in close alignment with 225 Midcity Records, WoolseyBaby has maintained an uncompromising release strategy. His massive run of singles throughout 2024 and 2025 delivered breakout hits like the introspective "On My Soul," the razor-sharp "The Last .WAV Bender," and the hard-hitting "Rest In Peace." He further proves his versatility by jumping seamlessly between collaborative tracks like "Obstacles" (feat. Flodelis), classical-infused trap instrumentals like "Mozart's Trap House," and heavy 2026 drops like "Pull Up," "Politics," and "Promise".Whether he is behind the engineering board or holding the microphone, WoolseyBaby dictates his creative output strictly on his own terms.
