Biography & Metadata

Farnham (UK) based Matty Driver is no stranger to the Electronic Dance Music scene and after a decade hiatus, the summer of 2025 saw him return under new alias “talkofthetown” – a fresh project that has seen collaborations in the studio with industry renowned producers, creating a variety of sounds influenced by his roots in Melodic Progressive Trance. A solid string of releases with labels such as Black Hole Recordings, FSOE Argento, Euphonic, Find Your Harmony, and Elliptical Sun Recordings, have seen Matty’s sound played worldwide, with over 500,000 streams amassed in his debut year. He can count on the likes of industry titans Armin van Burren, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Kyau & Albert, and Andrew Rayel, frequently supporting his music. It was his recent release ‘Iguana Party’, a collaboration with Steve Brian which further propelled Matty into the spotlight, with plays on A State of Trance, Group Therapy, Resonation Radio, and Find Your Harmony, along with Trance Legend MIKE PUSH finishing his Tomorrowland Freedom Stage set with it. Set up with one ethos in mind of creating music good for the soul, Matty has crafted a signature sound respected & recognised by both peers and fans alike, and as long the talkofthetown project is running you can guarantee it will be – ‘Always Melodic, Always Progressive’
