Saint-Preux

A composer, pianist and conductor, he popularized his music in contemporary classicism without worrying about fashions and trends with over thirty-two million records sold worldwide of his iconic composition "Concerto pour une voix" and fifty-four million copies of his discography. His full name is Christian Saint-Preux Langlade Chaïb, born in Paris on August 1, 1948 It was in the small village of Mervent, in the heart of the Vendée forest, that the young Saint-Preux found the sources of inspiration for his first works. At the age of six, he composed several pieces for organ. At the age of nineteen, he conducted a symphony orchestra and won the International Press Prize. The same year, he composed the Concerto pour une voix. The beginning of an impressive series of successes, such as Le Piano sous la mer, La Fête triste, Your Hair & Missa Amoris, Symphonie pour la Pologne etc... From his lyrical works to his piano and symphonic music, he is played by the most prestigious international orchestras, from Paris to New York, London, Tokyo, Montreal or Warsaw. In 1989, he composed for UNICEF a hymn for Human and Children's Rights, Les Cris de la Liberté, the manuscript of which he offered to His Holiness Pope John Paul II during a private audience.
