JWADI

JWADI makes Coastal Soul: emotionally raw, vocal-led alternative music with hip-hop instincts, reggae in its bloodstream and lived-in storytelling at the center. Based in Santa Barbara, California, JWADI is a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer and performer. In 2012, as co-founder and original lead singer of The Movement, he wrote and fronted “One More Night,” debuting at number 1 on the Billboard Reggae Charts. After stepping away from music for roughly a decade, JWADI returned in 2023 and began building again from the ground up; writing, recording, producing and documenting the process in real time. The current chapter isn’t about recreating the past. It’s Coastal Soul: alternative music driven by voice and story, with hip-hop instincts, reggae roots and whatever else the song needs. RAINCLOUDS is OUT NOW.
