鏡音リンは大きなリボンを着けたブロンドボブヘアが特徴的な、14歳の女の子のバーチャル・シンガーです。 クリプトン・フューチャー・メディア株式会社が開発した、歌詞とメロディーを入力して誰でも歌を歌わせることができる「ソフトウェア」として、2007年12月27日に最初のソフトウェアが発売されました。大勢のクリエイターが「鏡音リン」を用いた作品を生み出したことで、「キャラクター」としても注目を集め、今ではバーチャル・シンガーとしてグッズ展開やライブを行うなど多方面で活躍するようになり、人気は世界に拡がっています。 Kagamine Rin is a charming 14 year old female virtual singer, whose trademarks are her blond bob hair with a huge white ribbon. Kagamine Rin was released in one package with Kagamine Len, her male counterpart, in the software “VOCALOID2 Kagamine Rin & Len” on December 27th, 2007 by Crypton Future Media. Shortly after the release of the software, fans and users started producing a massive amount of media featuring the character, and the popularity of these creations led to merchandise, live shows, and other projects.
