Biography & Metadata
Northern Californian singer-songwriter Eric Anders has been writing songs with southern Californian guitarist-composer Mark O'Bitz since Eric's 2003 debut release, Not At One, which, like all of Eric's seven solo releases, was mostly made up of Anders/O'Bitz songs. The guys started releasing music as a duo in 2018 with Of All These Things. They followed that up with Ghosts to Ancestors in 2019. Their 2020 album, American Bardo, was listed in Popmatters' top 50 Americana albums for 2020. 2020 also saw the release of their critically-acclaimed EP This Mortal Farce and the first installment of their multi-release collection, "music in the time of coronavirus," the single "Careful Now My Son." They released the second installment, the album Sirens Go By, in early 2021, and the third and fourth in late 2021: Stuck Inside and Variant Blues. Eric and Mark are proud to have worked with Basque artist Joseba Elorza (Greenday) on their latest music video, "Searise." Eric and Mark have worked with San Diego producer-mixer Mike Butler on their last thirteen releases: American Bardo, "Searise," This Mortal Farce, the four releases of "music in the time of coronavirus," their 2022 Americana album, The Loss We've Won, their 2022 6-song blues-rock album, So Far Gone, their 2022 remix project done with Steven Jess Borth (CHLLNGR), Bardo Hauntings, and their 2023 album, Answers Belie. Mike, Mark, and Eric are currently working on "live in the studio" music videos.
