Gwynn Davies

Gwynn Davies is a Victoria, BC-based singer-songwriter whose work connects introspective storytelling with intimate performance . Drawing on a background in music composition and a history in rock, Davies has developed a Canadian indie-folk sound where his baritone voice explores the complexities of the human experience.  Davies focuses on emotional and psychological themes, evidenced in his late 2025 project, The Definition of Insanity, A Commodity, A Human Being (Acoustic). His lyrics are supported by a deliberate acoustic guitar tone. Moving beyond standard folk strumming, he provides a rich harmonic bed to reflect his rock and indie roots. Whether delivering fingerpicked passages or driving patterns, his guitar work acts as a second voice essential to the recordings. A seasoned performer and world traveller, Davies delivers music that is as intellectually engaging as it is resonant.
