JNR VIGI

Emmanuel and Arah Ola, known as JNR VIGI, are talented singer-songwriters from Keapara, Papua New Guinea. Their musical journey began in their school years, experimenting with songwriting and recording. In 2012, they released their debut song, Jerusalema, marking the start of their career. With the support of their parents and basic equipment, they developed their craft, with Emmanuel focusing on Lyrics & Melody and Arah leading production + Lyrics & Melody. In 2019, their breakthrough came with the release of Love Anna, which gained attention and airplay on Yumi FM in Port Moresby. This success was followed by their 2023 hit Eh Vivi, which amassed over 400,000 views on YouTube, further solidifying their presence in the music scene. JNR VIGI has collaborated with notable PNG artists such as Kronos, Jarahn, Kali-D, along with Jaro Local, and Joe Briz from Solomon Island. Their music blends influences from Afrobeats, Island Reggae, Reggae, and Amapiano, using their native language to create a unique sound that reflects both their cultural roots and global appeal. Their music not only celebrates their heritage but also preserves their native tongue. As their fanbase continues to grow, JNR VIGI is confident that their best work is yet to come, with aspirations to take their music to new heights both in Papua New Guinea and globally.
