url, pronounced “earl,” is the indie pop project of New York-based artist and producer Matt Bullard. Blending hazy bedroom pop textures, diaristic songwriting, and lo-fi experimentation, url first gained attention with the breakout track “yellow pack,” leading to the release of the debut EP ruiners club via Havêa Records in 2021. After relocating from Orlando to New York City in 2023, Bullard began collaborating with Frank Corr of Morning Silk and Rob Norris of Mope at Living Rooms studio. Those sessions shaped url’s second EP, Collect Calls 2 Heaven, released via B3SCI Records. Inspired by a disorienting period of self-doubt and emotional uncertainty, the EP explores the feeling of reaching for something beyond the present: a different place, a different time, or a different version of yourself. Its dreamy atmosphere and reflective lyricism capture the tension between where you are and where you wish you could be. Bullard is also the founder of Superbloom, an imprint label supporting emerging indie artists including Morning Silk, Johnny Aries, scared, Badvril, and mal sounds.
