Prolific producer, DJ, and songwriter. Cancer survivor. Rising music industry professional. The chances of someone being all of these things before turning 25 are slim to none - but Ben Lepper has made a habit of beating the odds. Five years before becoming one of the most exciting rising stars in chill & melodic house, a blood cancer diagnosis at 17 left the Boston-based creative questioning everything he knew, including how much time he had left. The only thing he was sure of was that life was too short for him to not make music he loved. While undergoing chemo, he built the Cloudcage project from the ground up, inspired by the challenge of staying positive while everything falls apart. Now fully cured, he tells his story through music, exploring everything from the immediate trauma brought on by treatment to the challenges of survivorship, with a goal of empowering others going through their own battles - no matter how big or small they may be. In a relatively short period, Cloudcage has seen regular radio support on SiriusXM Chill & Capital Chill, broad DSP editorial support, and several sold-out live shows. His work has been supported by industry titans such as EDX, BT, Mees Salomé, Chicane, Tritonal, Jerro, and Shingo Nakamura. Lepper is also the cofounder & co-lead A&R of quiet hours. Launched in May 2026, the United States based label releases relaxing & beautiful chill electronic music by a variety of artists, from established talents to brand new names.
