Karen Lee Batten

Karen Lee broke through as a Top 10 finalist on Canadian Idol, and gained immediate national recognition. Drawn to the country genre she released her first album, Every Moment, along with her first music video on CMT. 
 Her sophomore album, Cause a Scene, arrived in 2014 – hitting #1 in Canadian album sales and #40 on Billboard Soundscan in its first month, followed by four radio singles. CCMA award-winning Mitch Merrett (MDM Recordings) and Michael Pyle (Bobby Wills) produced Karen Lee's third record, Under the Covers, with The Swampers at the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The 2018 album hit #2 on Billboard Soundscan and #4 on iTunes in its first week, later earning Karen Lee her 7th BC Country Music Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. 
 Karen Lee is adding a modern edge to her country motif with three new singles produced by Merrett and CCMA Award-winning Jeff Johnson – starting with 2020’s “Too Strong”, co-written with Johnson, Merrett, and Chad Kroeger.
