Civil Villains are delighted to announce that their second album, "A Sleeper, Underneath", is out now! Recorded at Shaken Oak Studios and Safehouse Studios in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, the album was produced and mixed by Mike Bannard and Civil Villains, and mastered by Alain Paul Mastering, Germany. Known for twisting complex song structures into something jagged yet melodic, heavy whilst thoughtful, the band’s latest releases channel both precision and chaos into the most striking evolution of their sound to date. Cementing a reputation for raw, honest performances that balance technical precision with emotional weight, the band have previously shared stages with Sparta, Kid Kapichi, Listener, Poly-Math, and Bellevue Days, and appeared at festivals including Portals (London). Their independent ethos has taken them across the UK and North America, including two DIY tours featuring headline shows in Toronto and Cambridge (MA), festival appearances at Envol Et Macadam in Quebec City and Mondo NYC in New York City, and dates across the Pacific Northwest.
