Listeners have described her sound as “fresh apple juice on a porch swing.” The musicians who recorded her debut EP joked it was “The Beatles, Tom Petty, and The Wizard of Oz having a baby.” Nancy laughs at both comparisons. She’s just trying to write songs that tell the truth. After earning national recognition as a Hollywood Week semifinalist on American Idol in 2013, Nancy found her home in East Tennessee’s songwriting community, performing throughout the region while helping champion fellow independent artists.
