The Simpsons

This long-running, beloved animated series tells the story of the Simpson family and their town of Springfield. Our strikingly yellow family is led by the hapless Homer Simpson, lovable goof of a father and husband. Living with Homer at 742 Evergreen Terrace are the endearing blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa, and pacifier-loving baby Maggie. The Simpsons first graced television screens in The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987, before landing its standalone debut in 1989. Since then, over 800 episodes have aired, making it the longest-running animated series and scripted primetime television show. An immediate ratings smash, The Simpsons continues to satirize the human condition more than thirty years later. Music has always played an essential role in the series, with some of its most iconic episodes anchored by memorable tunes.
