Biography & Metadata
Versatile and transgressive. Words that probably best describe the musician Tim Allhoff. He exemplifies the boundlessness of music and resists pigeonholing and stereotyping. He is at home in both classical music and jazz, and this versatility and his ability to unite different genres show once again that musical styles do not exist in isolation from one another, but are part of a rich and constantly evolving artistic context. Allhoff's piano playing is characterised by its technical brilliance and emotional intensity. He can look back on 11 releases under his own name, can be heard as a guest on many other recordings and has been awarded several prizes . He is also in demand as a composer and arranger, where he draws on his rich pool of influences to create a fascinating soundscape that is both accessible and sophisticated. He has written works for a wide variety of ensembles, from solo piano to symphony orchestra, worked on commissions such as the music for the opening concert of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Allhoff worked with/for many renowned artists such as Fatma Said , Lucienne Renaudin Vary , Eldbjørg Hemsing , Anastasia Kobekina , Robbie Williams , Nils Wülker , Jeff Ballard , Orchestre de chambre de Paris and many more. In May 2026 Allhoff will release his new album featuring the music in the works of author Haruki Murakami.
