Music for taking yourself seriously to whilst out with the dog or maybe standing at a bus stop. Themes of sadness, frustration and ageing. Influences are many but it often comes back to men who wore raincoats in the eighties. 2022 saw the release of the Parasite EP. Debut album The Punishing Stage arrived in 2023 followed by second album Time Is A Heron Waiting For Prey in 2024. New album Beautiful Terrier is out now! "Burnt Log’s bedroom prog opus hits a new high with “Beautiful Terrier”" Foxfire Magazine "Engages with a melodic, creative sound — intertwining alt-rock, prog, and synth-touched soundscapes in stellar form" Obscure Sound "A collection of whimsical, mystical, and colorful alternative rock songs that sound earthen and dark, with rich traces of folk running deep across the landscape. Time Is A Heron Waiting For Prey is a distinctive sounding record that is immensely full of nuances to love" Rock Era Magazine “Enrich yourself with mystical spirits and new rock sensations on Scottish singer-songwriter Andy Smith’s latest masterful release Time Is A Heron Waiting For Prey” Lost In The Manor
