The new album 'Æonian Justice', released on September 6, 2024, has everything from moody mid-tempo stompers to a fierce prog-thrash-metal opus. Heavily inspired from the likes of Symphony X, Judas Priest, and Iced Earth, Crypted Roots were made to be a master of all trades. Vocalist Berzan Önen flexes his jaw dropping range, including Halford-level highs, tantalizing lows, and mesmerizing throat whistling. Lead guitarist Rodrigo Giacon of Curveless brings masterful shredding to the table with a perfect blend of melody. Originally created by Silas Young, Crypted Roots was an American melodic death/thrash metal solo project that specialized in creating fast, heavy, and catchy music. The first albums were reminiscent of older times, but with plenty of modern twists. With riffs inspired by thrash legends such as Testament, Heathen, and Evile, Crypted Roots innovated upon the classic thrash sound by incorporating the vocal and breakdown techniques of modern death metal titans such as Bleed From Within and Gojira. The debut album 'When Atoms Split' was released on August 5th, 2023, with the follow-up 'The Skinwalker Waltz' coming in January 2024. Both albums were well received and set up Crypted Roots as a key figure to look out for in the underground scene.
