KALA is a Canadian-born artist based in Japan, writing music that gives listeners permission to feel loudly. Rooted in Japan’s Loud Rock scene, his sound draws on cinematic rock, alternative music, electronic, and high-register vocals that shift between fragility and force. His songs are built around release: the moment when pain, hope, memory, and everything left unsaid finally have room to breathe. Signed to SACRA Music, a Sony Music Japan label with deep ties to anime, game music, and global fandom, KALA made his Japan debut with the opening theme for "The Beginning After the End" (最強の王様、二度目の人生は何をする?) Season 1, bringing his music to a global anime audience. Before music became his full-time focus, KALA spent years in competitive gaming as a professional coach and Twitch Partner. That world is still part of his creative identity. Today, he is also a signed creator and musician for Cloud9, with his music used as the team’s walkout song for Valorant Champions Tour Americas matches and featured in original music work for licensed anime collaborations, including One Piece. Across music, anime, gaming, and live performance, KALA turns vulnerability into something loud, cinematic, and shared. On November 19, KALA will be presenting the first installment of his original event series, CLUB CRY, at 代官山UNiT in Tokyo, Japan, special guests to be announced soon.
