Miki Gavrielov

Gavrielov was born in Tel Aviv to parents who immigrated to Israel from Turkey. His mother, born in Izmir from the descendants of a Spanish family, speaks Ladino, his father is descended from an Aramaic-speaking Nashiddian family. He was born in Yarwen, Armenia, and grew up in Istanbul. Mickey's parents spoke four languages: Ladino, Turkish, Nashedean, Aramaic, and Hebrew. The radio in the house was regularly tuned to the Cyprus radio station, Ramallah Radio, and Kol Yisrael - to the "Lubrication Lubrication" program, in which Ladino sounds were heard, and songs in Turkish and Greek . All of these cultures influenced Gavrielov as a creator, and during his career he wrote and recorded many songs related to the cultures he absorbed.
