Yetii

We are Yetii: are an acoustic piano trio from Bristol, UK. The band has grown through a monthly residency at The Greenbank in Bristol over the last 7 years. We've written new songs, developed our sound, and built a local following that's sold out the show every month for the last 2 years. It’s been a big year. We played their concert hall debut to a sold out 400-strong crowd at St. George’s in Bristol, supported The Bad Plus on their recent UK tour, and we are releasing our first studio album, "Inner Worlds", alongside a series of videos, and a 10 date UK tour. We write music that is designed to be timeless, music for the soul. Singing melodies open and shift to reveal their inner workings. Solos morph into group improvisations: a shared single voice that ebbs and flows between and within the band’s original compositions. “all played with great beauty and sensitivity… a standing ovation greeted the end of their set ” Jazzwise “A performance that enthralled and delighted the audience ★★★★★” The Jazz Mann "Fluent and wildly inventive improvisers" UK Jazz News Alex Veitch - piano Ashley John Long - bass Alex Goodyear - drums
