Filon

Filon is a rock guitarist and solo artist working in the tradition of the guitar-hero virtuosos — Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci. Where his band work has always lived in metal, his solo music steps into the light: mostly instrumental, melody-first rock that's happier, more approachable, and more commercial — without losing the technical fire. Think epic, uplifting guitar music built to lift a room. The solo project is new, but the player isn't. Originally from Zakopane, Poland and now based in London, Filon has spent three decades on stage — currently with metal band Maxdmyz (since 2017), and earlier with Millennium (1994–1999) and Nu Millennium (2001–2006), among other projects. That long apprenticeship is what he now brings to his own name for the first time. His debut solo single, "Last Train to Nowhere," carries a story of its own. He started writing it in 2007 and finished it nearly two decades later. A tribute to all his guitar heroes, it's happy, inspiring, and epic. It arrives 2 July 2026.
