At the helm of this ensemble is Edu Martinez, a gifted guitarist, composer and arranger, renowned for co-writing and arranging most of the Tucxone Records catalogue, alongside Pablo Cano (bass), Chavi Ontoria (Hammond organ) and Juli El Lento (drums). Drawing from their shared musical influences and backgrounds, Mandota offers a fresh take on sounds reminiscent of late 60’s Meters and Booker T, as well as more contemporary sounds such as the Mighty Imperials, or organ trios, the likes of Delvon Lamarr or Jimmy Smith.
