Biography & Metadata
The No.1 album “Leave Tomorrow” is a collaboration between one of the UK’s most respected country artists & some of the leading names in Nashville. Love, life, Faith & family are all explored with warmth & nostalgia, garnering numerous accolades, including The British Country Music Association’s “Horizon Artist of the Year” award. Raised in the NW, Wheeler went from a life changing diagnosis to making acclaimed music, taking inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic (Hank Williams, The Beatles, Nick Drake, John Mayer, Brad Paisley, Eagles, Tom Waits). Critics praised his debut & its follow up Ten Embers for the organic blend of glossy country production & a poetic British perspective. In late 2021 MidWinter Songs hit No.1 on the Americana Album chart, which led to global deals with Bucks Music, Absolute & Motion Soho. Leave Tomorrow became Wheeler’s second No.1 album, topping the country chart in June 2025. Featuring the radio favourite Why Whiskey Why? it hit the top spot ahead of Morgan Wallen & Beyoncé, receiving critical acclaim & extensive airplay on the BBC & Absolute Radio Country. The country ballad Mount Juliet was added to the CMA playlist Fresh From Nashville, Wheeler is also one of only a handful of UK artists to be a member of both the CMA & the BCMA. He has collaborated with an array of artists including: The Civil Wars, Robbie McIntosh, Justin King, Steve Dorff, Jeff Trott, Adam Wright, Marla Cannon-Goodman, Mando Saenz, Stella Lain & The Shires.
