Aoife O'Leary

Aoife O’Leary has always been drawn to pushing boundaries. Her new single, The Earth On Which I Stand, is a declaration of strength and of the willingness to embrace the risks that come with growth - a reflection of her artistic vision and approach to life. Over the past few years, Aoife has expanded her musical journey into film composing and music production. She co-composed (with her longtime collaborator, Gerry Owens), the score for three films, including Hulu's #1 hit Cult Killer, starring Antonio Banderas, and is about to dive into her fourth. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Aoife (pronounced like EE’fa) discovered her passion for music early, leading her to form the band Moth Complex. Moth Complex fused bruising rock with off-kilter electronics, and showcased Aoife’s ability to balance vulnerability and power in her vocals. The band released two albums, toured all across the States and in Europe and had a reputation for intense live performances, sharing stages with artists like 30 Seconds to Mars and Lacuna Coil. The Earth On Which I Stand marks a bold new chapter in her journey. Continuing her love for immersive, emotionally charged music, the song channels both the strength and fierce determination that define her work. It captures the beauty and intensity of life’s ups and downs, and the attitude of balancing fragility with defiance. It’s an anthem of resilience in the face of challenge and change in a beautiful but also turbulent world.
