Biography & Metadata
About The Coracles The Coracles are a four-piece indie folk-pop band hailing from the misty hills and rugged coastline of mid-Wales. Their sound is where storytelling meets soul, blending dreamy folk textures with indie-pop hooks and evocative lyrics that drift between melancholy and hope. Drawing inspiration from the windswept moors, river valleys, and half-forgotten legends of the Welsh landscape, their songs feel both intimate and cinematic. At the heart of the band is John D’Storme, lead vocalist and guitarist. Eleri Vaughan – Fiddle, backing vocals A classically trained violinist turned folk innovator from Aberystwyth, Eleri weaves wistful, ethereal melodies through each song like threads of mist. Her harmonies add both warmth and ache to the band’s soundscape. Twm Ellis – Bass guitar, mandolin, harmonium Twm grew up on a sheep farm near Llandrindod Wells, where he split his time between baling hay and playing traditional Welsh hymns on his grandfather’s harmonium. His layered instrumentation gives The Coracles a rustic, textured foundation that grounds their more experimental flourishes. Siôn Caradoc – Percussion, synth pads, ambient textures The sonic explorer of the group, Siôn blends hand percussion, subtle electronics, and ambient effects to create the dreamlike atmosphere that defines their live performances. Raised in Machynlleth, he has a background in sound design and a deep love for natural soundscape
