Born Mere Owen Chibueze on November 22nd, Buez—also known as "The BoyWonder"—has earned his nickname for astonishing versatility across genres, jaw-dropping freestyle skills, and his witty, comic flair as a performer. Buez is a creative force who consistently proves that great things come in small packages, leaving audiences entertained and amazed every where he goes. Buez's musical journey began in 2011 after hearing Eminem’s "Cleaning Out My Closet," a song that transformed his difficult school experience. Inspired by legends like 2Pac, Lionel Richie, and Marc Anthony, he began writing poems, gradually refining his craft over time. The moment of truth came unexpectedly during his studies in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering when a friend unexpectedly signed him up to perform at a Monster Energy show. His impromptu freestyle left the crowd in awe. In 2017, Buez officially began recording music, showcasing his diverse talents as he explored both Afrobeat and Hip Hop. Now he intends to merge R&B, Soul and his clever raps into the very fibre that is Afrobeats to export to the world. Having faced manic depression, suicidal thoughts, and struggles, Buez is living proof that resilience and consistency are essential. He aims to be a voice for those suffering in silence, offering hope to those in dark places.
