Shovelin Stone

Shovelin Stone is a Colorado-based folk-rock band that blends the soul of old-time roots music with the grit and energy of modern indie rock. Built on raw storytelling, rich harmonies, and driving rhythms, their music bridges past and present—melding deep Appalachian influences with a fresh, contemporary edge. Formed by Makenzie Willox (vocals, guitar, songwriter) and Zak Thrall (banjo, vocals), the duo quickly found their sound in the fusion of heartfelt lyrics and dynamic instrumentation.
