Biography & Metadata

Sam TODD: Piano, Organ, Bells and Keyboards Joseph SOOKLALL: Drums, Percussion Ollie SIBBA: Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Mandolin and Banjo (All formerly of The Levitation) Alpine Songs was SIBBA’s first release and defined the project’s early 2026 indie-folk/indie-country style. With Joseph appearing on both “No Place Left But Home (Spin You Round) ” and “Rolling Home”, it wouldn’t be long before Sam returned to reunite the original band on July 2026’s European Summer. This release tapped into Ollie’s infinity for harder rock and softer folk, creating a true showcase of the band’s rounded capabilities on Scandinavian Nights and Coastline. September of 2026 saw the recording of “Mountain Air” and “New Year Never Comes”. This marked a brief return to the band’s indie/psych-rock roots and a step into Christmas for the group. SIBBA: “Rolling Home is my favourite song we’ve done as a band. Mandolin and pedal steel on an indie rock song was a bit out there in conception. Though, as our experiments often do, it turned out nothing like I imagined in the best way possible.” Sam: “Personally, I appreciate the process of creating a completely new piece of music the most. Ollie bring forwards songs he’s written to the group, and me and Joe then play with and adapt it musically, each putting our own style onto it, to produce a unique sound with our own distinct but complimentary influences.”
