Dan Becker

Dan Becker is a contemporary solo pianist and composer from Western Massachusetts whose music explores the full spectrum of human emotion. Mostly self-taught, he creates deeply personal instrumental works that chronicle his lifelong journey with Bipolar Disorder, transforming experiences of solitude, hope, struggle, passion, and resilience into expressive piano compositions that invite listeners to reflect on their own lives. His recent release, Echoes of Silence, is a unique double EP featuring six original compositions, each recorded twice - once on grand piano and once on felted piano. The project reflects themes of solitude, contemplation, and healing, inviting listeners into moments of stillness where beauty can be found in life's quiet spaces. In contrast, Becker's upcoming December release, Obsidian, explores the turbulent emotional landscapes that have shaped much of his life. Fueled by passion and a firestorm of emotion, the album channels intensity, struggle, determination, and transformation through powerful melodies and dynamic expression.
