Sarah Engels is one of Germany’s most glamorous pop artists and will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. Since her breakthrough in 2011 as the runner-up on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar,” the 27-year-old from Cologne has released four albums, all of which reached the Top 40 of the Official German Album Charts, as well as ten hit singles. Among them are “Call My Name” and “I Miss You,” both of which climbed to number two on the Official German Singles Chart. “Call My Name” was also nominated for an Echo award. Her song “Wunschkonzert” with Stereoact reached number one on the German DJ charts, followed in 2019 by “Weekend” with DJ Herzbeat, which also topped the Schlager charts. At the same time, her fanbase continued to grow steadily: in 2019, she surpassed one million followers on Instagram. Sarah Engels has long been a fixture on German television: she won “Dancing On Ice” (SAT.1), served as a judge on “Das Supertalent” (RTL), and made her acting debut in “Das Traumschiff – Antigua” (ZDF).
