Biography & Metadata

Lauren Claire Townley’s successful country music journey continues with her latest single “Is This Real?” - written whilst living in Dubai, feeling lost and disorientated with what is authentic in the world and what is fake. Recorded in Nashville, featuring Sweepy Walker on harmonica, and already a hit on her U.K. tour, it is perfect for fans of Sheryl Crow, Lainey Wilson and Bob Dylan. The vibe of the song was inspired by Rodriguez - I Wonder. Lauren performed this track at The Peer Hat, Manchester, opening for Keeper of Calves and Harry Huxley, and also as part of her Sofar Sounds show. She took the song to Beaird Music Group where it was recorded and produced to the highest standard with elite session musicians and Grammy award winning engineers. “Is This Real?” follows Lying In The Hay and Staying Up In Wonderland - a magical track pitched to be part of Sabrina Carpenter's upcoming Alice in Wonderland movie, and adds to a landmark year for the Gatley girl, who recently rocked the stage at the Isle of Wight Festival 2026 and has completed her U.K. and Middle East tour with Summer in Nashville. Recently opening for Maggie Baugh at Forty Five Vinyl Cafe, this British show stopper has been chosen for The Vinyl Cut by BBC Radio 1, as well as her increasing radio play on stations such as Dubai Eye, Dubai 92, BBC Manchester and Country Music Radio Nashville. She closed the year in 2025 performing before the Gypsy Kings and warming up the crowd for Paris Hilton’s DJ set.
