Biography & Metadata

The Trouble Notes are a Berlin-based trio blending folk traditions, progressive rock and classical influences into a sound that feels orchestral in scale yet fiercely human at heart. Bennet Cerven’s soaring violin, Florian Eisenschmidt’s intricate, rhythmically charged guitar and George Bingham’s dynamic percussion create a rich musical interplay. Expressive vocals and expansive instrumental passages move from intimate, cinematic melodies to explosive crescendos and infectious, dance-driven rhythms. Since 2013, the band has drawn inspiration from people, places and stories encountered on their travels, transforming these experiences into music that balances heartfelt storytelling with the raw energy of a rock concert. This passion also shapes Mnemorith, their evolving narrative project where music and mythology intertwine. Having performed in more than 20 countries, The Trouble Notes have appeared at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Castlefest, Elfia and Fusion Festival, and shared stages with Rodrigo y Gabriela, Jethro Tull, America and Versengold. Their music has also featured in film, television and advertising. Through More Violins, Less Violence, the band supports War Child. Where Virtuosity Meets Velocity.
