Biography & Metadata
Ole Skeet's family moved around a lot in the 1970's. Both urban and rural living influenced his musical tastes. CDB, NWA, ZZ Top, & ZZ Hill are a few of his influences. In 1984 Skeet joined a group called The Master Control Force which was a rap group under contract with Big Bad Wolf Records. Other members of MCF were Radio Rasheed, Pa Pa Fresh (Trick), Def D, and Bobby Doe. The group performed throughout the region. This was also the first time Skeet was in the studio. MCF broke up and reformed several times over the years. In 1989 Skeet reconnected with his good friend Dj Trick and they started Doghouse. First a 4-track studio, then a 16-track, then 2 16 track studios with a storefront in Humboldt, Tn. This led to Doghouse Productions, and then Doghouse Records which released several EPs and 12" Singles. In the mid 90s Trick got a record deal and Skeet moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast continuing his music career. Skeet worked as a multimedia professional for several years and even dabbled in politics until 21 after battling cancer and then losing his wife of 33 years. Rebranded as "Ole Skeet" he began working on new material. In Nov 23 he released "Story of My People" with Pa Pa Fresh on American Chicken Farm Revival Records which was his first in over 30 years. Ole Skeet is a co-founder of the group Swamp Music Mafia and is signed to FOEBG Records.
