Seh Calaz

Seh Calaz is one of the standout voices of contemporary dancehall–reggae, recognized by his signature “check, check, check” call and a gritty, emotive vocal tone. He broke through with “Mabhanditi,” “Mumota Murikubvira,” and “Kwatinobva Kwakasiyana Siyana,” balancing street narratives, social commentary, and catchy melodies. In recent years, he has expanded into reggae/one-drop textures through extended projects such as Seh Calaz @ 30 (2020), Ghetto D.N.A. (2021), and Reggae Dzinorira (2023). The collaboration “Reurura” with Mambo Dhuterere helped him reach a new audience and cement his standing in contemporary urban music.
