Biography & Metadata
Hypnotic, driving electronic music with rap and punk influences. Possibly the first Goth Rap album ever created! Due to one of the two co-founders being admitted to a psychiatric clinic and the tragic suicide of one of the MCs/rappers, the album Back to the Truth, recorded in Berlin between 1999 and 2003, was never officially released. This album Back to the Truth is an emotional outcry and a warning against the constant spread of lies and falsehoods in our world. It is the perfect music album for An Adventure for the Truth, the Book: Kiera and the Clueless. Hacktec’s vocal style and songwriting emerged from the diverse backgrounds of MC Rawtec and Mr. Hick Hack, spanning Mexico, the United States, Spain, Belgium, and Germany, as well as contributions from additional vocal artists such as Missilez Ägainst Norm, Tyler Durden, Katharina, and Ole. Together, these influences shaped a distinctive and edgy vocal character. The band’s sound, produced by Tommy Dinosaur, was driven by sharp synths and a unique drum production. Additional contributions came from Celcius (beats) and DJ Sir J and DJ John Milton (scratches). The sound drew from multiple genres and the Berlin vibes of the late ’90s and early 2000s, creating a clear and recognizable sonic signature. www.tommy-dinosaur.com And don’t be a loser, listen to it on a real hi-fi system!
