Andrea Molinari

Guitarist and composer Andrea Molinari has just released his new album “Awakening | Il tutto nel nulla” (Ropeadope, 2025). Following the success of “51” (2019), praised by Musica Jazz, Jazzit, All About Jazz, Amadeus, and la Repubblica, Molinari returns with a bold new project inspired by years of reflection on the state of the world. This new work stretches his guitar and compositional skills, offering a deeply personal and exploratory sound. The album features Dutch alto saxophonist Ben van Gelder, as Andrea reaches across borders to broaden his musical voice. Personnel include trumpeter Alessandro Presti, pianist Enrico Zanisi, bassist Francesco Ponticelli, and drummer Enrico Morello. “There are some musicians who transform difficulty in the world and their lives to create positive music for the world to hear and find comfort in; Andrea Molinari is fully authentic in this role. It is refreshing and uplifting, and we welcome his new project with great enthusiasm.” — Louis Marks, Ropeadope
