Biography & Metadata

Tribal Kush is a DJ duo characterized by their unique style called Basshall. This genre combines Latin, Afro, Caribbean and Dutch EDM, which translates to a highly energizing Dancehall Latin style. Together with Kybba, Tribal Kush is considered the leading force behind their label Basshall Movement, with over 1 million subscribers on YouTube. The two met each other in 2015 when Gordito moved for his studies from Aruba to Groningen. Due to a shared passion for similar music genres, the duo decided to pursue their dreams, and Tribal Kush was born. Together, they quickly garnered millions of streams with singles such as Call The Police and Ram Pam. In 2021, the duo released their single Bad, which brought them instant worldwide recognition with over 100 million views on YouTube and Spotify. Besides these platforms, the single went viral on TikTok, with over a million features in different videos. Since then, the duo appeared on the award-winning album of Major Lazer, and received a Grammy Nominee for their production on the single Bam Bam featuring French Montana, Beam & Diplo. In 2023 Tribal Kush won a Latin Grammy for their work on Carlos Vives' album "Columbiana II" and collaborated on the hit "El Teke Teke" with Carlos Vives, Play-N-Skillz, and Black Eyed Peas. 2024 Tribal Kush released their first debut EP together called “KALIKUSH” with dancehall star Kalibwoy from Amsterdam. #BASSHALL Follow us on Instagram @tribalkush_
