GRAMMY@ AWARD winner David Longoria’s CELEBRATE (Sound The Trumpet!) is a fresh take on the classical Henry Purcell piece Sound The Trumpet and features opera singers Diana Tash & AJ Teshin in this fun celebration of the day. “This brought me back to my roots as a classical baroque trumpeter, and is the 1st release from my classical album for 2025 with orchestras and classical greats”, David says. Born at a very early age, David Longoria sang before he could speak. At 6 months, he sang scales with his aunt Betty, an opera singer. He learned to play the trumpet at age 10, where the local Salvation Army taught him to read music. He impressed trumpet icons Al Hirt & Dizzy Gillespie and toured with many stars of jazz, rock and R&B. David learned to write songs from gospel great Andrae Crouch, who became a mentor, introduced him to the great Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson and many others who also mentored along the way. As a songwriter, record producer, & artist David has performed and worked with many of the top artists of our generation. Mood is an album of vintage style jazz done with David’s chill touch. Icons Barbara Morrison, Freda Payne, Pancho Sanchez join David. David’s dance hit Playground featuring Dallas Lovato & remix/production by Robert Eibach. David wrote and performed the theme song for the movie Bloodline: Now Or Never, titled “Now Or Never”.
