Filmstar

“Remember the name, because this is not the last you’ll be seeing of them.” - Phoebe Inglis-Holmes, BBC Introducing "Fronted by the force of Lauren Thompson, Filmstar deliver a show with the stage presence of a band far beyond their years." - Discovery Music Scotland Filmstar launched their debut EP “Reality Bites" to midnight countdowns from eager fans. In the band's own words, "While it's only the beginning of Filmstar, we wanted to showcase our musical diversity with this EP. From the anthemic pop rock choruses you can shout back to us at gigs, to the ballads you can blast in your headphones or in your car at 2am, to a totally acoustic live track we wanted to add as a bonus - it's all a taster of what's to come from us as we continue to develop our sound." The Edinburgh-based band made their live debut at an explosive, sold out show in their hometown at Cowgate Block Party in January 2026. They followed this up with an energetic headline show at the Hug and Pint, then a packed gig at the famous King Tut's, before returning to Sneaky Pete's with Since 2000 to finish up their summer run of shows this year. Already turning heads, Filmstar are bound to be a must-have in your playlist as one to watch in 2026.
