Yung Heat

Meshing Hip-Hop, RnB, and Electronic– Jamaican-Canadian musician Yung Heat is most known for his popular genre-bending tracks on SoundCloud. Yung Heat is a triple-threat musician with over 10 years of music production, audio engineering, and composing. Throughout his music career, he has amassed over 15M streams over various streaming platforms. Garnering over 12M streams on Spotify alone, his remix to Grammy-nominated Production duo ODESZA’s “Across The Room” featuring Leon Bridges has caught the eye of multiple popular media outlets such as Billboard, Dancing Astronaut, and edm.com. Yung Heat is an active member of Ottawa’s underground music scene organizing live events, offering services as a live audio technician, and mentoring young artists. He is the lead coordinator and co-founder of a youth-led organization called “Produced By Youth”, where he fulfills his passion for serving Ottawa's creative community. He mentors Black youth like himself -- giving them the tools and resources to create and release their own music projects. Recently delving into a more Hip-Hop inspired structure, Yung Heat has launched his new melodic-driven rage/emo rap alter ego Skull Kid (stylized as skulK!d). Falling in love with said genres, he combines the sharp sawtooth synths, distorted 808s, and dark energetic vocals from some of their favorite artists; Playboi Carti, Yeat, Trippie Redd, and UnoTheActivist.
