Boyu makes indie pop that feels like summer nostalgia with a late night edge, equal parts sunshine and self reflection. A St. Louis native now based in New York City, he blends bright hooks, groove forward production, and emotionally raw lyrics into a sound that sits between indie pop, alt pop, and modern alternative. Drawing inspiration from Dominic Fike, Role Model, and Jeremy Zucker, Boyu’s music lives in that in between space, catchy yet introspective, polished but still personal. After leaving a corporate banking career in 2021 to pursue music full time, he moved to Los Angeles and began building his catalog independently. Since then, he has earned editorial support across Spotify playlists including Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds Pop, and Fresh Finds Indie, while amassing over 4 million streams globally. His catalog ranges from the indie pop warmth of Flower Garden (2022) to the alternative rock pop energy of Octane (2023), moving between upbeat feel good tracks and more reflective late night records.
