Joel Timoner

Joel is a singer songwriter who creates amazing singles. His compositions are rooted in the Brazilian tradition but incorporate elements from other trends and cultures. The blends are always fresh and original. Joel was born in Brazil and lives in France. Besides the musical quality of his projects, Joel writes poetic lyrics. He plays the sazouki, a giant mandolin. In some singles Joel also plays kalimba, acoustic bass, electric mandolin, mandole and synthesizers. Joel collaborates with highly respected Brazilian and Cuban musicians. Swami Jr (guitar, bass and producer), Harold López-Sussa (keyboards), Tiago Costa (piano, arranger), Bebê Kramer (accordion), Sergio Reze (drums), Sidmar Vieira (trumpet), Ruy López-Nussa (drums), Sidiel Vieira (bass) and others. Swami Jr, former Buena Vista Social Club musical director, has produced many Joel's singles. Joel also collaborates with Brazilian artists who create the cover for the singles.
