Human Is Alive

Human Is Alive is the ambient music project of Pavel Lipatov, creating organic ambient and drone-based soundscapes shaped by emotion, detail, and atmosphere. Based in Batumi, Georgia on the Black Sea, Lipatov creates music that blends field recordings and subtle foley textures with digital synthesis into immersive, nature-infused compositions. Each piece is carefully constructed around real-world sounds: waves, wind, birds, and environmental textures, paired with tonal layers that are matched to their natural frequencies and evolve slowly and transparently. His work draws from both classic ambient and modern production approaches, with a focus on clarity, space, and emotional depth. Inspired by the natural world and cinematic thinking, his compositions are designed to support reflection, concentration, and a sense of stillness. Since beginning the project in 2019, Human Is Alive has built a global audience, with releases across labels including Signal Alchemy, Archives, Valley View Records, Ambient Soundscapes, Soul Remedy and others, and collaborations with artists such as Warmth, We Dream of Eden, Antarctic Wastelands, Lauge and many more.
