Biography & Metadata

The young hotshot singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rob Deniel made an instant hit with his first release, “Ulap,” which he wrote, arranged, and produced alone in his bedroom, taking advantage of the time when the global pandemic struck. This was followed by indie-pop flavored song “Gabi” and retro-pop track “Sinta,” which said a lot about his growth as a musician. As he found his signature sound in soft rock inspired by classic Manila Sound, he continued to drop more refreshing hits such as “Ang Pag-Ibig” and his popular track “RomCom.” Known to be a real romantic in his musicality, the current No. 2 Top OPM Male Artist on Spotify Philippines also released his equally charting song “Miss Miss.” He later put out "Arrowmance," followed by “Puso,” a slow-burn anthem for brait-rotting lover people out there. Rob Deniel experienced a second wave of popularity when his emotional covers of Ogie Alcasid’s “Nandito Ako” and “Ikaw Sana” on the Wish Music Awards stage went viral across social media platforms. Treating fans to a much-anticipated digital release, he recently dropped an EP titled “RD Covers,” which contains the viral renditions along with more signature tracks such as “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang” (also by Alcasid) and Jaya’s “Wala Na Bang Pag-Ibig,” all of which simultaneously charted on Spotify Philippines, Apple Music Philippines, and Billboard Philippines.
