Matthias Vogt

Matthias Vogt is truly deep into music: this Frankfurt based gentleman is both: dj and musician. Matthias is a classicly trained jazz pianist, working as arranger, composer, producer and keyboarder. He already recorded eight jazz studio albums. But that's only one side of the coin: his discography contains more than 200 releases! After busy times beginning of this century, with his former main projects Motorcitysoul and [re:jazz], he currently focuses on music under his own name. He released a five EP series on the London based Anjunadeep label. Plus he's had frequent outings on Frankfurt based Polytone, where he released his current album Polytonality. Besides his main music projects he worked with heavy weight artists like Satoshi Tomiie, Ian Pooley (MVIP) or Chez Damiez (as Kids In The Streets). A dj since the early nineties, Matthias experienced dance music’s fast growing and constantly altering change as a part of Frankfurt’s vital club scene. Vogt performed regularly at Sven Väth’s Cocoonclub. He also played gigs at clubs such as The End in London, Club 11 (Amsterdam), Tresor (Berlin), Cielo (New York) or Arma 17 in Moscow and gigs around the globe f.e. Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Spain, France, Brazil or South Africa. Furthermore Matthias is a much asked for remixer. Working as a dj/producer and being a jazz pianist, Matthias Vogt continues to bring together the best of both worlds and creating his very own unique style and music.
